for more than 55 years, announces the availability of a new
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Guide specifically for optimizing
shaft designs as well as those for related components. The DFM
Guide offers designers and specifiers important guidelines for
achieving cost and time economies as well as performance advantages.
The DFM Guide includes sample shaft designs as well as sections
on reviewing shaft configurations, optimizing shaft dimensions,
specifying materials, planning for secondary processes, designing
related components, and shaft maintenance. Illustrated shaft
samples include single flange, double flange, motor armature,
symmetrical multi-step, asymmetrical multi-step, and roller
designs.

efficient manufacture of shafts from 2" to 20" diameter,
with lengths to 120" long. R & W provides full service
shaft manufacturing, related part manufacturing, assembly
